The arts
At Boys & Girls Club of Rochester, we are committed to providing opportunities for our members to access their imagination and creativity. We offer a variety of arts programming so that our members can learn to express themselves through visual arts, applied arts, and performing arts in a safe space. Whether it’s learning a new dance for the talent show, folding origami, or creating a painted masterpiece, our members are encouraged and empowered to explore different avenues for self-expression in the arts.
Advanced Art
Mondays - Fridays, 3pm
Advanced Art is a fun place for Club members to learn and create new things each day. Club staff and members do a number of different activities focused on the visual arts, such as: origami, painting, clay, drawing, collage, and string.
Do It Yourself (DIY)
Fridays, 5pm
Members of all ages are welcome to join Club staff in working on art & craft projects, including bracelet making, painting, and holiday- themed crafts.
dance Team
Tuesdays & Fridays 4pm - 6pm
Open to Club members of all ages, youth learn choreographed routines, teamwork and companionship.
talent show
Thursdays, 4pm - 6pm
Club members have the opportunity to showcase their talents by practicing weekly for talent shows held at Club.
TSS (Technique, Stretch & Style)
Mondays, 5pm
TSS is a staff lead advanced dance course, teaching members technical dance principles along with stretching and style techniques.

visiting artists wanted
Boys & Girls Club of Rochester is seeking qualified artists to lead workshops in a variety of media including visual art, music, theatre, dance, and creative writing for middle school and teenage youth. Submit your proposal for a workshop (series of classes will also be considered), including work samples, lesson plan, and materials list for immediate review.
